Dashing Through the No” by Tara Sivec is a Hilariously Offbeat Christmas Romantic Comedy

What you need to know about “Dashing Through The No”:

โœ” Set in Summersweet Island and the Redinger House, West Virginia
โœ” Christmas Romance
โœ” Complete stand-alone
โœ” Fiery Tess Powell
โœ” Hot caddy Bodhi Prescott
โœ” Hilarious
โœ” Book 3 of Summersweet Island series

Bodhi and Tess from the Summersweet Island series โ€œKiss My Puttโ€ and โ€œA Swing and A Mishapโ€ have been a couple for a while, unfortunately Bodhi keeps proposing to Tess in the midst of their post-sex bliss which makes Tess not quite take him very seriously. At the beginning of the book we get Bodhiโ€™s surprising backstory which was absolutely wonderful and provides some of the dramatic push going forward for our two lovebirds.

This Christmas season, semi-serious arsonist Tess is feeling a little more โ€œfieryโ€ than usual so Bodhi decides to take her to the Redinger House in West Virginia for a few days.

The Redinger House is the scene of one of Tara Sivecโ€™s previous Christmas books โ€œChristmas Clicheโ€ which is inhabited by one of my favorite side characters, the nutty, insanely rich Millie who shows up here as one of Bodhiโ€™s oldest friends.

Bodhi was always denied a traditional Christmas because of his upbringing and Tess is feeling very Grinch-y so things arenโ€™t looking good for a bit, but with the magic of the Redinger House and the irrepressible Millie, perhaps Bodhi will finally get a Christmas like he always saw on TV when he was a kid.

โ€œDashing Through The Noโ€ by Tara Sivec is a hilariously off-beat, engagingly endearing, completely crazy Christmas romantic comedy that will get you in the moodโ€ฆfor the Holidays.

Plot Summary

โ€˜Twas the week before Christmas and all through Summersweet,
Tess Powell was annoyed and wanted to retreat.
With a BIC in her hand and a frown on her face,
everyone knew she needed a break from this place.
Wanting the holiday to be nothing but the best,
Bodhi took his girlfriend to the mountains to rest.
While visions of fire happily danced in Tessโ€™s head,
soon she would see she had everything to dread.
Crying kids, singing hippos, and a stalker with a van,
definitely wasnโ€™t part of Bodhiโ€™s evacuation plan.
But all he wanted for Christmas was for her to say yes,
to the question he kept asking with zero finesse.
With some help from new friends and their holiday cheer,
Tess and Bodhi get much more
than they asked Santa for this year.
