Country musicโs golden boy Colton Wheeler felt the most perfect harmony when he was with Gretchen Winthrop. But for her, it was a love him and leave him situation. What if love is the key?
Avery Clark needs a break. Between her photography business not doing as well as sheโd hoped and incessant family drama that does nothing to ease her spiking anxiety, she needs something to go her way.
And that was even before her ex-best friend, and talented pianist, Joshua Harding, ran into her during an event in Toronto, after he left her suddenly ten years ago, breaking the only promise he had swore he wouldn’t.
When an opportunity to grow her business falls into her lap, Avery decides to put her doubts and resentment aside and agrees to photograph Joshโs sisterโs upcoming wedding.
As they spend more and more time together, rediscovering each other and the people they turned into, Avery realizes that maybe, the spark she felt ten years ago wasnโt just a fleeting teenage phase.
But the past is never far away, and an unknown future is terrifying. Could Avery take that leap of faith?
There is nothing that screams romance more than two childhood best friends who havenโt spoken in years and suddenly bump into each other ten years later with all the possible longing, aches and hurt this time apart created. Filled with Canadian vibes, The Last Encore is a heartwarming, friends-to-lovers and steamy slow-burn romance that explores the themes of friendships, woman empowerment, identity, loss and learning to trust yourself.
“The Last Encore beautifully captures the push and pull of a friendship evolving into something more, the magnetism of the people we structure our hearts around when weโre young, and the way returning to those people can feel like finally coming home. Full of heat, emotion, and endearing side characters, Josh and Averyโs love story will break your heart and then put it back together. A delicious treat for fans of heartfelt romantic dramas.” –Ashley Winstead, author of Fool Me Once

Mishaps and Mistletoe
Josie Ward doesnโt want a lot for Christmasโjust for the entire holiday season to be over and done with as quickly as humanly possible. Thatโs not too much to ask, right?
But who can blame her? The holidays have been extra light on the holly and without much jolly since her sister passed, and no amount of belief in anything will bring her back. Christmas wish lists are for children, anyway. Not single women in their mid-thirties.
She isnโt the Queen of Christmas, anymore. Definitely not the Princess of Positivity. This Jojo has lost her mojo, according to her friend Johnny. But, itโs not like sheโs actively looking for it.
No, this queen hung up her crown years ago.
Christmas magic? No such thing. Holiday miracles? Only in movies. Happy ever afters? Donโt even get her started.
But a blast from Josieโs past has her wondering whether she might be capable of change. Heโs certainly changed. Because, yeah. Kevin definitely didnโt look like that at fourteen.
With the help of a meddlesome friend, a sprig of seaweed, and a partridge in a pear tree, can a man who knew the girl she was help the woman sheโs become see thereโs hope, even in the darkest places? Perhaps the one thing she didnโt ask for this Christmas will end up being the greatest gift of all.
A sweet, feel-good holiday romantic comedy, Mishaps and Mistletoe has slow-burn chemistry, mild language, and plenty of sizzle and spice without on-page explicit content.

Single and Ready to Jingle / Before I Let Go / Ravaged / Ship Wrecked
The girl who loves Christmas falls for the Grinchโitโs a Christmas miracle.
What started as a dumpster fire of a blind date turns into a deal.
In truth, it probably didnโt help that I showed up dressed like an elf but thatโs a story for another time. Our start was rocky at best which is why itโs so frustrating that I canโt stop thinking about his sexy British accent. Or the way his chest and arms fill out his suit. Or his perfect hair with that single streak of grey at the front.
Santa likes lists and so do I, so hereโs all the reasons why Andrew and I arenโt right for each other:
Heโs my brotherโs best friend
Heโs the biggest grump Iโve ever met.
He hates Christmas.
That last one is big for a girl like me who thinks that the entire month of December should be a national holiday. So, when he calls for my help in planning his firmโs holiday party, I canโt pass up the opportunity to grow my small business. Bonus, we make a deal, and he agrees to attend three holiday events with me so I can make him fall in love with Christmas. As if Iโd pass up an opportunity to make a Grinchโs heart grow three times its size.
It isnโt long until I discover Andrew has a very real reason to hate Christmas and I start to see him in a different light. Thatโs when the Christmas miracle begins.
โReal, raw, magnificentโBefore I Let Go is the beautiful angst I love to read.โ โColleen Hoover, #1 New York Times bestselling author

From USA Today bestselling author Naima Simone comes an electrifying romance about a pro basketball player and a graphic novelist who canโt seem to stay in the friend zone.
Miriam
Itโs no coincidence that my familyโs breakup service is called BURNED Inc. I know what itโs like to be dumped. Iโve been there.

Jordan

And sometimes you have to break the rules to win.

Apparently, Peterโs her surly Gods of the Gates co-star, and theyโre about to spend the next six years filming on a desolate Irish island together. She still wants himโฆbut he now wants nothing to do with her.

For years, they donโt touch off-camera. But on their last night of filming, their mutual restraint finally shatters, and all their pent-up desire explodes into renewed passion. Tempt
Youโve heard the story about the wedding planner who falls for the groom?
Well, this is the one where she falls for his father.
And that groom? Heโs my ex.
I didnโt realize who the gruff, gorgeous older man was the night he rescued me from a creep in a Manhattan hotel bar. All I knew was that a hot, bearded stranger with a protective streak showed up right when I needed a reminder that real gentlemen still exist.
(Although he left his manners behind after asking me up to his room.)
It was the hottest night of my life, but I never thought Iโd see the former Navy SEAL again.
Imagine my surprise at the rehearsal dinner one week later, when my sexy one-night stand is introduced as the father of the groom. Even more surprising? That temptation we felt in New York was no fluke.
In public, we pretend thereโs nothing between us.
In private, we canโt keep our hands off each other.
The situation is beyond complicated. Zach never even knew heโd fathered a child until recently, and he wants to earn his sonโs trust and respect. As for me, Iโm looking for a man who wants to start a family, and Zach has made it clear heโs not that man. Heโs fifteen years older, newly divorced, and he lives across the country.
But no matter how many times we draw the line, we keep crossing it.
Nothing so wrong should ever feel so right.

Two Wrongs Make A Right / Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail / The Trope
Opposites become allies to fool their matchmaking friends in this swoony reimagining of Shakespeareโs beloved comedy, Much Ado About Nothing.
Jamie Westenberg and Bea Wilmot have nothing in common except a meet-disaster and the mutual understanding that they couldn’t be more wrong for each other. But when the people closest to them play Cupid and trick them into going on a date, Jamie and Bea realize they have something else in common after allโan undeniable need for revenge.
Soon their plan is in place: Fake date obnoxiously and convince the meddlers theyโre madly in love. Then, break up spectacularly and dash their hopes, putting an end to the matchmaking madness once and for all.
To convince everyone that theyโve fallen for each other, Jamie and Bea will have to nail the performance of their lives. But as their final act nears and playing lovers becomes easier than not, they begin to wonder, what if Cupidโs arrow wasnโt so off the mark? And what if two wrongs do make a right?
An interior designer learns to rebuild her love life from the ground up with zero blueprints in this new romantic comedy by Ashley Herring Blake, author of Delilah Green Doesn’t Care.
For Astrid Parker, failure is unacceptable. Ever since she broke up with her fiancรฉ a year ago, sheโs been focused on her careerโher friends might say sheโs obsessed, but sheโs just driven. When Pru Everwood asks her to be the designer for the Everwood Innโs renovation that will be broadcasted on a popular home improvement show, Innside America, Astrid knows this is the answer to everything that is wrong with her life. Itโll be the perfect distraction from her failed love life, and her perpetually displeased mother might finally give her nod of approval.
However, Astrid never planned on Jordan Everwood, Pruโs granddaughter and lead carpenter for the innโs renovation, who despises every modern design decision Astrid makes. Jordan is determined to preserve the history of her familyโs inn, particularly as the rest of her life is in shambles. When that determination turns into a little light sabotage, ruffling Astridโs perfect little feathers, the showrunners ask them to play up the tension. But somewhere along the way, their dislike for each other turns into something quite different, and Astrid must decide what success truly means. Is she going to pursue the life that sheโs expected to lead, or the one she wants?
The two constants in Maggieโs life have always been books and her anxiety. A close third is that sheโs been in love with her best friendโs older brother her whole life, not that sheโs ever told him. She prefers to keep her thoughts of love and desire in the stories she writes, and that works out well for herโฆ until her readers find her first novel unbelievable and her characters devoid of any real chemistry.
So, whatโs a writer with only fictional experience supposed to do? Fake it, of course. Dean is willing to fake a relationship to help her writing. Secretly, Maggie is hoping their time together will make him fall head over heels for her, but something is missingโthe spark, the chemistry, the heatโand now sheโs struggling to reconcile her longtime fantasy with reality.
Then thereโs quiet, grumpy Mac. The more time Maggie spends with Dean, the more Mac appears in her life and her thoughts. Sheโs read this book before, she knows how itโs supposed to end, but all her carefully laid plans are unraveling. Her lifetime of romance novels never prepared her for this. Could it be that she doesnโt understand love at all?

For a link to last month’s new releases: click here.
The Last Encore sounds soooooo good! Thank you for sharing these reviews and I am so freaking happy I found your page. I have been on such a steamy romance kick and now I think youโve got me set for the winter (lol!) Have you heard of the author Lisa Battalia? My book club just read Book #1 in her โMidlife Romanceโ series and WE WERE ALL OBSESSED. Itโs called โAwakeโ (fitting โ as itโs all about an explosive sexual awakening). The main character, Lori, is experiencing the pain of a marital desertion. But when she allows Brandon into her life, she rediscovers her sexual power and starts to feel more confident and hopeful.
The distance between them provides some challenges to the relationship. But ultimately, this is a story about real women with grown-up, sexy characters that you can relate to. Itโs erotic and romantic, but also intimate and emotional. Definitely worth reading! I know youโre busy but if you end up needing a book you can find it on the authorโs website here โ https://www.lisabattalia.com/
