Here is my list of must-read romance books coming in October! The season is changing and that means a new, fresh crop of books (that are not Pumpkin spiced!). A lot of different flavors are coming out this October so here are some of the ones I’m most excited about.
What books do you have on your TBR?
October 1st
Cruel Paradise by J.T. Geissinger is the follow up to Beautifully Cruel (which I LOVED and which was one of my Top Ten of The Year So Far) so I’m really looking forward to it.
You donโt know me.
You think you do, but you donโt.
The only thing you know is my name, and even thatโs a lie.
Iโm king of Boston, lord of criminals, ruler of an underworld empire. Or am I?
Only one thingโs for sure: I operate alone.
Until I cross paths with a brazen little thief who sets my whole kingdom on fire.
October 4th
Next from the Cocky Hero Club is Omega Artist from Hope Irving. Omega Artist is spun off of Stuck-Up Suit by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland and follows tattoo artist Tig. It is angsty! Full disclosure: I was a beta reader on this book.
I lured and tricked Tig into a random hookup on social media.
He has no clue heโs anything but random to me.
He has no clue weโll play by my rules.
He has no clue Iโll seduce him, then dump him because he deserves it.
October 6th
Next up is Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade. I recently received an Advance Review Copy so I will be posting a review in a couple of days. I absolutely loved this book!
Olivia Dade bursts onto the scene in this delightfully fun romantic comedy set in the world of fanfiction, in which a devoted fan goes on an unexpected date with her celebrity crush, whoโs secretly posting fanfiction of his own.
October 13th
I’m including this book purely based on friends’ suggestions and word-of-mouth buzz! Simmer Down by Sarah Smith is on a ton of must read lists so I’ll be reading it when it comes out on the 13th!
In this finger-licking good rom-com, two is the perfect number of cooks in the kitchen.
Nikki DiMarco knew life wouldnโt be all sunshine and coconuts when she quit her dream job to help her mom serve up mouthwatering Filipino dishes to hungry beach goers, but she didnโt expect the Maui food truck scene to be so eat-or-be-eatenโor the competition to be so smoking hot.
Also out on the 13th of October is Pride and Papercuts which is #5 of Staci Hart‘s The Austens series. I think it’s also going to tie in her Bennett’s series and Wasted Words series which will be phenomenal!
Hate is a strong word.
Depending on the company, loathe is a good substitute. Abhor might be a little fancy, but it gets the job done. But the word that really sums up how I feel about Liam Darcy is, without question, hate.
Number 3 for October 13th is The Boyfriend Effect by Kendall Ryan. It’s the start of her new Frisky Business series so it should be fun.
Iโm not boyfriend material.
If a trail of broken hearts and a piss-poor record of failed relationships have taught me anything, itโs this. My buddies are happy to give me shit about my latest breakup from here to next Sunday. Thanks, but Iโd rather have a root canal.
And a vasectomy.
At the same time.
October 20th
On the 20th comes what looks to be another winner from Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland, Happily Letter After.
From New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes a love story about taking chances, and the surprises that come with them.
October 27th
My last must-read of the month is the third in the Bromance Book Club series by Lyssa Kay Adams: Crazy Stupid Bromance.
A hacktivist and a cat cafรฉ owner decode the friend zone in this romantic comedy from the author of Undercover Bromance.
What are your plans for October?
Have you come close to finishing your reading goal for the year yet?
