June 2021 Romance Releases
Hereโs a list of my most anticipated June 2021 Romance releases. There’s a lot of great releases coming in the month of June, these are just a few that I am personally looking forward to and am recommending to you. So let’s get in to it!
June 1
From the New York Times bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue comes a new romantic comedy that will stop readers in their tracks…
For cynical twenty-three-year-old August, moving to New York City is supposed to prove her right: that things like magic and cinematic love stories donโt exist, and the only smart way to go through life is alone. She canโt imagine how waiting tables at a 24-hour pancake diner and moving in with too many weird roommates could possibly change that. And thereโs certainly no chance of her subway commute being anything more than a daily trudge through boredom and electrical failures.
But then, thereโs this gorgeous girl on the train.
Seven days to fall in love, fifteen years to forget and seven days to get it all back again… From the author of The Perfect Find, this is a witty, romantic, and sexy-as-hell new novel of two writers and their second chance at love.
Brooklynite Eva Mercy is a single mom and bestselling erotica writer, who is feeling pressed from all sides. Shane Hall is a reclusive, enigmatic, award-winning literary author who, to everyone’s surprise, shows up in New York.
When Shane and Eva meet unexpectedly at a literary event, sparks fly, raising not only their past buried traumas, but the eyebrows of New York’s Black literati. What no one knows is that twenty years earlier, teenage Eva and Shane spent one crazy, torrid week madly in love. They may be pretending that everything is fine now, but they can’t deny their chemistry-or the fact that they’ve been secretly writing to each other in their books ever since.

One moment in the spotlight.
For months I stood by, an understudy waiting in the wings,
preparing for my time to shine.
I never imagined he would watch in the audience that night.
Canon Holt.
Famous film director.
Fascinating. Talented. Fine.
Before I could catch my breath, everything changed.
I went from backstage Broadway to center stage Hollywood.
From being unknown, to my name, Neevah Saint, on everyoneโs lips.
Canon casts me in a star-studded Harlem Renaissance biopic,
catapulting me into another stratosphere.
But stars shine brightest in the dead of night.
Forbidden attraction, scandal and circumstances beyond my control jeopardize my dream.
Could this one shotโthe role of a lifetime, the love of a lifetimeโcost me everything?

As the most hated player in baseball, I had two options: either clean up my image or pack my bags. Being traded wasn’t an option which only meant one thing, I had to become compliant.
That’s how I found myself sharing a small bistro table with Kate Chapman, the Chicago Bobbies newest PR Manager. Devastatingly beautiful, vastly intelligent, and incredibly cunning, she knows exactly how to handle my grumpy demeanor.
It was supposed to be simple. Book some PR events, show up, smile for the camera, and be done. But one massive mistake on my end sends me into the trenches with Kate, forcing me to open up to her.
Innocent glances turn into cordial encounters.
Secret touches turn into tempting invitations.
And dangerous nights alone turn into consuming desperation.

A charming and heartwarming new romantic comedy by the author of Waiting for Tom Hanks, Kerry Winfrey.
Teddy Phillips never thought she’d still be spending every day surrounded by toys at almost thirty years old. But working at a vintage toy store is pretty much all she has going on in her life after being unceremoniously dumped by her longtime boyfriend. The one joy that she’s kept is her not-so-guilty pleasure: Everett’s Place, a local children’s show hosted by Everett St. James, a man whom Teddy finds very soothing . . . and, okay, cute.
Teddy finds the courage to write to him, feeling slightly like one of the children who write to him on his show. He always gives sound advice and seems like he has everything figured out–and he pretty much does: Everett has a great support system, wonderful friends, and his dream job. But there’s still that persistent feeling in the back of his mind that something’s missing.
An unexpected tropical layover with her nemesis turns a flight attendant’s life upside down in this witty, breezy debut romantic comedy about life — and love — 30,000 feet above the ground.
June 22
Acting like she’s in love with her handsome nightmare of a co-star–in a movie directed and produced by her complicated Hollywood royalty family–is Sloane’s job. But what happens when the lines between script and reality get blurred?

Lucky.
The one adjective used to describe my entire hockey career. I prefer to call it hard work, at least I did until my game went to complete crap. I havenโt scored in eight games and my team owner is talking about trading me.
Iโve never believed in superstitions. Never needed one. I suppose I was โluckyโ in that way. But now the best way to refer to me is desperate. Iโd wear the same socks for an entire year just to be the high-scoring center I used to be.
Imagine my surprise when after spending New Yearโs Eve with a woman, I score a hat trick in the next gameโthatโs three goals in one game for you non-hockey lovers. Now, I have to track her down and bribe her to do it again before every game. Get your mind out of the gutter, Iโm not talking about it.
I find her and when I get to know her better, I end up spending more time thinking about her than my game, but sheโs made it clear she wants no part of me. Sheโs going to learn that I didnโt become a professional hockey player without having to fight for what I want.
Perpetually cheerful and eager to please, Gracie Cooper strives to make the best out of every situation. So when her father dies just months after a lung cancer diagnosis, she sets aside her dreams of pursuing her passion for art to take over his Midtown Manhattan champagne shop. She soon finds out that the storeโs profit margins are being squeezed perilously tight, and complicating matters further, a giant corporation headed by the impossibly handsome, but irritatingly arrogant Sebastian Andrews is proposing a buyout. But Gracie canโt bear the thought of throwing away her fatherโs dream like she did her own.
Overwhelmed and not wanting to admit to her friends or family that sheโs having second thoughts about the shop, Gracie seeks advice and solace from someone sheโs never metโthe faceless โSirโ, with whom she connected on a blind dating app where matches get to know each other through messages and common interests before exchanging real names or photos.
But although Gracie finds herself slowly falling for Sir online, she has no idea sheโs already met him in real lifeโฆand they canโt stand each other.
Iโm losing myself trying to save everyone else…
As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life–love is a luxury I canโt afford.
It isnโt until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if Iโm brave enough to risk my heart.
When who I was and who Iโve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.
In a single moment, everything Iโve worked for is jeopardized. My integrity, my career, and even my relationship with Westin.
He loved me once, I just hope he can love me always โฆ
Those are all of the June 2021 romance releases that I am most anticipating. Did you read all of May’s books? What books are you going to read this summer?
So many good options and not enough time in the day to read them all :/
I’m reading For Vacation Only right now and I’ve read “Reel” – soooo good! Not enough time is right!
