I hate him and I donโt even know his name.
The good news is my nemesis has made it abundantly clear the feeling is mutual. He did call me pretty, though, in the midst of a heated screaming match. Which would have been flattering, if I didnโt loathe him so much. But whatever. I donโt care how handsome he might be, or how charming the rest of the world probably finds him, guys who look like aged-out boy banders arenโt my type. Add to that, heโs got a knack for being in precisely the wrong place at the wrong time, and I was thrilled to march away from our angry skirmish and never see the bastard with the piercing blue eyes, ever again.
It wasnโt meant to be, though. As it turns out, my sworn enemy is my new next-door neighbor. F*ck my life. Luckily, heโs got a big secret to keep, just like I do. Heโs in a jam, and so am I. So, weโve decided to put our differences aside long enough to resolve our respective predicaments. Of course, weโve made it clear this is going to be a business arrangement and nothing more. A necessary means to an end. But when youโre forced to work closely with your sworn enemy, a guy who happens to be ridiculously attractive and surprisingly funnyโwhen he actually starts to grow on you, much to your shockโkeeping things strictly professional becomes easier said than done.
My Neighborโs Secret is a funny, silly, zany, swoony, spicy, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity rom com that will keep you laughing, swooning, guessing, and fanning yourself, all the way to Charlotte and Auggieโs happily ever after.ย

Mackenzie Carter has had some very bad dates lately. Model train experts, mansplainers, guys weirdly obsessed with her tailโshe hasnโt had a successful date in months. Only a year out of residency, her grandmotherโs obsession with Mackenzie finding the perfect mate to settle down with threatens to drive Mackenzie barking mad. Out of options, it feels like a small thing to tell her grandmother that sheโs met someone. That is, until she blurts out the name of the first man she sees and the last man she would ever date: Noah Taylor, the big bad wolf of Denver General.
Noah Taylor, interventional cardiologist and all around grump, has spent his entire life hiding what he is. With outdated stigmas surrounding unmated alphas that have people wondering if they still howl at the moon, Noah has been careful to keep his designation under wraps. The chatty, overly friendly ER doctor asking him to be her fake boyfriend on the same day heโs called to meet the board has to be kismet, right?
Mackenzie will keep her grandmother off her back, and Noah will get a chance to prove he can continue to work without a real mateโa mutually beneficial business transaction, they both rationalize. But when the fake-mate act turns into a very real friends-with-benefits arrangement, lines start to blur, and they quickly realize love is a whole different kind of animal.
