April 2021 Romance Releases

Hereโ€™s a list of my most anticipated April 2021 Romance book releases. It is not a complete list: it is books I’m following, series I’m reading, books I would recommend and books I’ve heard good things about. If you would like to recommend books to me, I would love it if you would do that in the comments section.

April 6

My Almost Ex is a second chance romance between two childhood friends-to-lovers (with amnesia!) in Piper Rayneโ€™s brand-new, small-town family series, The Greene Family. Coming April 6, 2021

A hockey/fake date/not-quite-a-virgin very wrong romantic comedy

You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brotherโ€™s best friend and they accidentally fall in love?
I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but itโ€™s not.
I donโ€™t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral.

โ€œHow did you get in here?โ€

Thatโ€™s not what you want to hear when youโ€™re staring into the sea-green eyes of the hottest man youโ€™ve ever seen. Yet I suppose itโ€™s a fair question, considering Iโ€™m an uninvited stranger standing in Boone Masonโ€™s kitchen.

If you think thatโ€™s badโ€”just wait. It gets worse.

Finding a good roommate through a classified ad isnโ€™t as easy as it sounds.

I was starting to lose hope.

Until a knock at my door came and God answered my prayers.

Exceptโ€ฆuhโ€ฆwrong prayer, God.

Iโ€™d definitely requested the big guy find me a drop-dead gorgeous man on more than one occasion…just not as my roommate.

Ruthie Midona has worked the front desk at the Providence Luxury Retirement Villa for six years, dedicating her entire adult life to caring for the Villaโ€™s residents, maintaining the property (with an assist from DIY YouTube tutorials), and guarding the endangered tortoises that live in the Villaโ€™s gardens. Somewhere along the way, sheโ€™s forgotten that sheโ€™s young and beautiful, and that thereโ€™s a world outside of workโ€”until she meets the son of the property developer who just acquired the retirement center.

This is my last chance to ditch my playboy reputation and finally fulfill my potential. So Iโ€™ve made three rules for our biggest season yet: no boozing, no women, and no scandals.

Especially that last thing.

So who do I befriend on the very first day back at the rink? An amazing female hockey player. I want Sylvie in a way thatโ€™s more than just friendly. I crave her. But I have a championship to win, and so does she.

Thanks to my brotherโ€™s impending nuptials, Iโ€™m sent to our family cabin to keep the brideโ€™s sister company while she does whatever is it that bridesmaids do.

Aspen Steele is a force to be reckoned with and even more beautiful than I realized. It takes being trapped in a snowstorm with her for me to realize sheโ€™s my magic.

Iโ€™ve tried to like Adrian Savage, the mercurial frontman for Fugitive Summer, while serving as his bandโ€™s opening act on tour. Weโ€™re stuck together for three months, after all. And Iโ€™m well aware Iโ€™m lucky to be here.

But itโ€™s proved impossible. Heโ€™s far too rude and dismissive a guy to get along with. And way too good at getting under my skin. In fact, at this point, I think itโ€™s fair to say I downright hate his guts.

Unfortunately, that’s not the worst of it, just the tip of the iceberg. Because what I think is going to be a relaxing vacation, avoiding the one girl I can’t seem to make it work with, has turned into a spectacle of being recruited as Stella’s doting fake fiancรฉ so she can save face with an old “friend” from high school.

Now I’m navigating through purgatory while trying not to get turned on by the way she holds my hand or kisses my jaw. It’s all fake, that’s what I keep telling myself, even though it feels entirely too real.

April 19

This duet is my most anticipated romance release of April. I’m glad they are releasing the books so close together:

Iโ€™m obsessed with Laila Fitzgerald. There, I finally admitted it. Iโ€™ve tried not to want her. I tried to step aside when my best friend said he wanted her. But itโ€™s proved impossible. Sheโ€™s too gorgeous and talented, too charismatic and badass, for me not to want her for myself.

Unfortunately, though, karmaโ€™s a bitch. In trying to do the right thing by my best friend, Iโ€™ve done the wrong thing by myself. Iโ€™ve pushed her away every chance Iโ€™ve had. Dug way too deep a hole to crawl out of . . . And now, Laila downright hates my guts. And rightly so.

April 22

Warning: This story includes a meet-burglary, an immortal cat, a biohazard of a banana bread, a meddling mother, fancy toast, and a temporary fling that starts feeling a little too permanent.

April 27

A hilariously quirky novel that is equal parts murder mystery, rom-com, and a celebration of mothers and daughters as well as a deep dive into Chinese-Indonesian culture, by debut author Jesse Q. Sutanto.

1 (accidental) murder
2 thousand wedding guests
3 (maybe) cursed generations
4 meddling Asian aunties to the rescue!

Surviving a shipwreck en route to London from Jamaica was just the start of personal maid Jemina St. Maur’s nightmare. Suffering from amnesia, she was separated from anyone who might know her and imprisoned in Bedlam. She was freed only because barrister Daniel Thackery, Lord Ashbrook, was convinced to betray the one thing he holds dear: the law. Desperate to unearth her true identity, Jemina’s only option is to work outside the law–which means staying steps ahead of the formidable Daniel, no matter how strongly she is drawn to him…

A feisty stand alone friends with benefits romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde. With new characters set in the bestselling world of the Wrights, this is a perfect jumping on point for new readers!

April 28

In the aftermath of tragedy, itโ€™s strange the things you remember.
The deafening boom as the house exploded.
The paralyzing fear as I searched for my wife.
The blinding smoke burning my eyes as I carried her out.

But carved into my soul for the rest of my days would be the earth-shattering realization that the woman in my arms wasnโ€™t my wife.

Bree and I were the only survivorsโ€”not that either of us were truly living after that night. As a single dad with nowhere else to go, I moved into her guest house. And somehow, through the guilt and grief, we forged an unlikely team.

Did you read any of the books from the March List? What books are you looking forward to this Spring? I hope you enjoyed this list of April 2021 Romance Releases.

Hi, I'm Kate. I started this website in 2020 to share my love and respect for romance books. I adore the works of Chloe Liese, Penny Reid, Karina Halle, Talia Hilbert, Kennedy Ryan, Catherine Walsh, and Charish Reid. When I'm not devouring romance novels, I love to travel and spend time with my Nebelung cat, Fitz. I hope this space helps you fall in love with the wonderful world of romance books as much as I have!
